Today I am continuing the Luedtke-Rice research with TG182976, focused on Margaret Elliott and related Pennsylvania and German family records. This is working genealogy, so the goal is not to overstate the evidence. Margaret Elliott is connected here as the parent of James Nelson Elliott, with research notes also pointing toward Johann Jacob Friedrich Huber and Frederika Regkukel as related research targets.
The current evidence needs careful separation. Some records strongly support a Margaret S. Elliott born in October 1824 and dying on 19 November 1903, but the exact Pennsylvania county, spouse details, and Smith/McClelland/Elliott transitions still need record-by-record review. The German side also needs caution because the name “Regkukel” may be a transcription problem, with possible variants such as Reckkuchle, Reckküchle, Regkuchel, or Reckkuechle.
I created a GitHub Pages researcher page to keep these clues organized for future review. The page includes source placeholders, relationship context, spelling variants, and suggested next records for Pennsylvania and Germany. You can read the research page here: https://luedtkerice.j03.page/margaret-elliott-huber-regkukel-research.html
