CraftBox: A Small Experiment in Software Development

Today, I completed CraftBox, a small application I developed using C++ and Qt. The program allows someone to click a mystery box and discover three randomly selected fictional candies. Although the application works, I decided that it doesn’t offer enough entertainment or practical value to justify releasing it through the Snap Store or Flathub. I still consider the development process worthwhile because it helped me test how my software management tools handle project registration, source code, screenshots, and publication decisions.

One of the most interesting parts of this project was using J03Curator, infoartrecorder, and screenshotpublisher together. I reviewed the project, approved one screenshot, prepared the development materials, and successfully published them to GitHub. This demonstrated how a project can be documented publicly without being distributed as a finished application. The CraftBox source code, AI development notes, and approved screenshot are available on GitHub for anyone interested in examining the experiment.
