RecallForge v0.3.9.1 has reached a new milestone: its first publicly available Linux Snap Store beta release. Built in Qt6 and C++, RecallForge brings study progress, learning activities, and writing workflows into a desktop application designed to help people turn questions, ideas, and everyday progress into something useful. The source code is available on GitHub, the application has been successfully built and tested locally as a Flatpak, and the new Snap package is available through the Snap Store beta channel. Linux users with Snap support can install the beta using sudo snap install recallforge --beta. Optional private learning materials, personal writing libraries, and research records are deliberately excluded from the public release.
Getting there involved more than compiling an application. RecallForge went through source-code reviews, privacy checks, native Linux testing, isolated Flatpak builds, Snapcraft packaging, and a recovery-aware release process designed to survive an unexpected computer restart. Its first Snap package was built, installed, photographed, backed up, registered with the Snap Store, and released as version 0.3.9.1, revision 1, in the public beta channel. The result is a practical example of how desktop software can move from a personal project into something other people can explore, study, and build upon. The public beta is an invitation to test what works, discover what can improve, and follow the next stage of RecallForge’s development at j03.page.
