Today on Pyles Peak, I set in motion a public project centered on the Luedtke and Rice family lines. The goal is to gather names, places, dates, and family links in one public location where the trail can be followed step by step. The page is luedtkerice.j03.page, and it marks the start of a focused run of work that will continue across the days ahead.
A major part of this project is the Luedtke line. My current notes follow a path that includes Erdmann Martin Luedtke, Anna Louise Riewe, Erdmann Luedtke, Christina Hartfiel, Johann Christian Luedtke, Eva Rosina Heymann, Johan Martin Luedke, Maria Wille, Martin Luedtke, Dorothea Schuessel, and Amelia Emilie Caroline Luedtke. It also includes place names such as Grabowo, Krojanke, Flatow, West Prussia, Pomerania, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Bringing those names together on one page helps turn scattered clues into a visible line of travel and connection.
This project is also about making the work open, readable, and useful to others who may recognize a surname, a marriage, a location, or a family pattern. Over the next several days, I plan to keep adding entries tied to this effort, including notes from Pyles Peak and Kohls Mountain. The public home for that work is luedtkerice.j03.page, where the record can continue to grow one clue at a time.
