Today was all about execution. I watched the Application Security video from the CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 series (Domain 4.1), taking detailed notes to solidify concepts like input validation, secure design principles, and code testing strategies. My goal is to pass the Security+ by November, and the study momentum is building. I’m using ExamCompass for practice quizzes and TestOut/LabSim to reinforce gaps. This morning started at the San Diego Central Library (R805A50BC-T2Phal-002-164), and I’ve been laser-focused since.
In parallel, I applied to five high-quality cybersecurity and systems roles that align with my Master’s in Cybersecurity, my CompTIA prep, and my background in IT. These include positions with UCSD, JT4 Defense, KBR, VPSI, and Unisys. I updated my job coach with full details and resume links for each. I also confirmed my attendance for the July 2 DEA event and adjusted my calendar for fitness recovery checks and weekend planning. Tomorrow’s focus shifts slightly: weigh-in and movement evaluation in the morning, then tuning in to the DEA info session at 11:00 AM via National University Handshake. I’ll close the day with another Security+ study block and structured job tracking in Notion. Bit by bit, it’s all moving forward.
To finish off tonight, I’ll be completing all available practice exams at ExamCompass and reviewing my scores at TestOut. Depending on how I perform, I may post an update about which topics I need to focus on next. I’m also logging all the job applications in Notion.so to keep my job search structured and visible.
