This past week, I’ve been diving into two exciting topics: cryptology and my new interactive fiction promo video. I recently put together a video called Crossroads, a text adventure game I created that explores themes of faith and personal choice. This project aligns with the reflective period of Lent, which began last Wednesday. If you’re curious, you can watch the promotional video here: Archive.org or on Vimeo. I’ll be discussing this project in my upcoming blog posts, so stay tuned for more insights!
Beyond my creative work, I also attended my Security+ class today, where we covered various cryptology techniques, including:
- Substitution Ciphers
- Polyalphabetic Substitution
- Transposition Ciphers
- The Enigma Machine
- Steganography
- ARP Poisoning Attacks (Local Network MITM)
Understanding these cryptographic methods has given me a deeper appreciation for how security and encryption play a role in both historical and modern cybersecurity. As I continue my studies, I plan to explore how these techniques can be applied in real-world scenarios.
To wrap up the day, I’ll be heading to EoS Fitness for a workout. Balancing mental and physical health is a priority for me, and exercise helps me stay focused and energized.
I’m looking forward to sharing more updates on my interactive fiction project and security+ journey in my next posts. In the meantime, check out the promo video and let me know what you think!
