Today, I headed to the San Carlos Library for focused cybersecurity studies. My time there was split between job applications and deepening my knowledge in Security+. I applied for a Sr. .Net, C#, Angular Developer position and made progress on my Security+ coursework through NetLab. I created a reverse shell executable, testing how remote access can be established—a crucial concept in penetration testing. I also studied authentication methods, learning how technologies like RFID, single sign-on, and federated identities contribute to cybersecurity.
To reinforce my learning, I watched CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 videos by Professor Messer, covering topics such as spyware, bloatware, and physical attacks on IT infrastructure. Understanding threats like DNS attacks and RF jamming further deepened my grasp of network security vulnerabilities. With each lesson, I become more prepared for the Security+ exam and real-world cybersecurity challenges.
As the day winds down, I’m shifting my focus to physical fitness. Tonight at 8:30 PM, I’ll be heading to EoS Gym for a jogging session. Regular exercise keeps my mind sharp and my body strong—key aspects of maintaining focus and resilience in both job hunting and technical learning. Balancing gym time with cybersecurity studies is part of my strategy to stay motivated and productive. Looking forward to another day of growth and progress!
