KinStory1108: A Two-Day Genealogy Project

On November 7, 2026, I completed KinStory1108, a C++ and Qt 6 application developed on my Manjaro Linux laptop to help organize and review genealogical storytelling. Designed for November 7 and 8, the program checks research documents against categorized family-history records and produces instructions for improving a one-minute Cowles Mountain speech, longer blog articles, and GitHub research notes. Development included resolving a C++ compilation issue, implementing a date-limited workflow, and registering the project through J03Curator.

I published six development files to my j03-software GitHub repository, along with project documentation. The public release is intended as reference material for developers and AI coding assistants rather than a standalone application. Private genealogical data was deliberately excluded. Although the program itself has a limited useful life, its source code illustrates approaches to Qt interfaces, research-document checking, clipboard-based AI collaboration, and local project management.
