Progress Update: IT Applications and Resume Work

Today’s update captures steady progress across both federal and state IT job searches. Over the past week, I successfully submitted multiple IT and security-focused federal applications, targeting roles aligned with my background in network support, systems administration, and security-aware operations. These submissions were intentional and selective, focused on positions where my experience is a strong technical match rather than broad, unfocused applications.

At the same time, I completed a new federal résumé tailored specifically for public-sector review. The resume reflects more than a decade of hands-on IT work supporting real production environments, including endpoint and network support, printer deployment and access control, user permissions, documentation, and security-related systems such as camera monitoring and web filtering. It also integrates applied cybersecurity coursework and lab projects to clearly connect academic work with practical, job-relevant skills.

In addition to the federal roles, I also submitted a California state application through CalCareers for an Information Technology Technician / Help Desk Technician position with the Department of General Services. This role closely matches my day-to-day experience providing front-line technical support in public environments and fits into a broader strategy of pursuing stable, mission-driven IT work at both the federal and state levels. At this point, applications are submitted, materials are in place, and the next phase is tracking and follow-up.
