Daily Learning: Security+ Data, Job Search, Spanish

Today at R8ACE9F98-T2Phal-002-65 (San Diego Public Library Downtown), I immersed myself in the world of CompTIA Security+ SY0-701, focusing on data types and classifications. Not all data is the same, and understanding how to secure and classify data — from Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to intellectual property — is critical for any cybersecurity professional. I explored topics like regulated data, trade secrets, barcodes, and medical history. Professor Messer’s video was an eye-opener: companies must safeguard trade secrets, handle court records with care, and classify data to ensure confidentiality and compliance. This is vital for passing the Security+ exam and succeeding in the ever-evolving cybersecurity field.

Beyond the classroom, I applied for exciting cybersecurity and tech roles today, including Threat Hunter at Broadcom, Associate Cloud Engineer at Unisys, Java Developer at Glint Tech Solutions, and Information Security Architect at Shelter Insurance. Each opportunity is a step toward contributing to secure digital environments. I also practiced Spanish vocabulary — a personal passion and an asset for global communication. From “buenos días” to “buenas tardes,” language learning enhances my ability to connect with diverse colleagues and clients in today’s interconnected world.

As I continue to refine my skills and expand my horizons, I’m working on my JobzMall profile here: https://app.jobzmall.com/@jeremiah-o-neal. This journey blends technology, language, and self-improvement, aligning perfectly with my commitment to personal and professional growth.
