Cyber Job Hunt and Fitness Progress

Today’s cybersecurity job search took me to a new opportunity: the Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst role at Daybreak Games. With a salary range of $50,000–$60,000, the role aligns with my experience in systems monitoring, real-time incident response, and IT support—core areas of any Security Operations Center (SOC) or NOC environment. I used my updated cybersecurity-focused resume and submitted my application via their official careers site. Staying consistent in applying to cybersecurity analyst, SOC support, and IT infrastructure roles is key to breaking into the field.

To stay grounded during this journey, I also committed to physical health. I completed 260 floors on the stairmaster today in just over an hour (67:22 minutes). Balancing physical endurance and mental focus is crucial when preparing for a demanding cybersecurity career. Just like reducing attack surfaces or improving endpoint visibility, fitness improves resilience. Whether managing SIEM alerts, securing cloud infrastructure, or studying for the Security+ certification, I’m moving forward—both on the job board and on the stairs.
