Today, April 22, 2025, was a step in the right direction—literally and figuratively. I started my day strong with a 28-minute hike up Cowles Mountain. It was one of my fastest times yet, and every step reminded me that consistency pays off, even when the progress feels slow.
After the hike, I headed to the San Carlos Library to take my Security+ midterm. It felt good to apply what I’ve been studying over the past few weeks. Each concept I’ve reviewed—from encryption to access control—felt more familiar this time around. It’s a reminder that cybersecurity is not just about memorization; it’s about understanding how things fit together in real-world situations.
Later this evening, my focus will shift to language learning. I’ve been slowly adding Spanish to my daily study routine. Tonight, I’ll spend some time reviewing vocabulary and practicing pronunciation. I’ve realized that, much like cybersecurity, learning a new language requires daily discipline, review, and a willingness to stumble until things click.
Tomorrow brings another chance to build on today’s momentum—more learning, more progress, and hopefully another hike soon. I’m staying committed to my personal and professional growth, one day at a time.
