      Strengthening My Cybersecurity Skills While Advancing My Job Search

      As I continue my job search and studies for the CompTIA Security+ certification, I watched Race Conditions – CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 – 2.3 by Professor Messer (video link). Race conditions occur when multiple processes execute simultaneously, leading to unpredictable system behavior—something developers must mitigate. One notable example was the Mars Rover “Spirit” reboot loop in 2004, where a race condition caused constant system crashes. Understanding these vulnerabilities is crucial in cybersecurity and software development, reinforcing why secure coding practices are essential.

      In parallel with my studies, I continue applying for cybersecurity roles, including the Installation Analyst position at Akraya, Inc. (Job Link). My GitHub project on the Rosa Parks Login Kiosk (GitHub) showcases my technical skills. Combining hands-on experience, certifications, and ongoing applications, I am building a solid foundation for my cybersecurity career.
