This morning, I received several emails informing me that some of my job applications were declined due to hiring freezes. While disappointing, these setbacks haven’t diminished my determination. This evening, I focused on applying for new roles, including positions such as Technical Analyst with San Diego Community College, IT Analyst with Goodwill, Security Operations Center Analyst with the Center for Internet Society, and Application Penetration Tester at RMS. I’ve also scheduled a focused job search for this Friday, targeting opportunities on platforms like jobs.ca.gov, governmentjobs.com, California Public Agencies’ Websites, cacities.org/Resources/Job-Opportunities, edjoin.org, csda.net, csucareers.calstate.edu, jobs.ucop.edu, UC Health. My aim is to explore diverse roles, including Cybersecurity Specialist, SOC Analyst, and Junior Python Developer, to name a few.
Despite the hurdles, I’m optimistic about my progress. The evolving list of opportunities keeps me motivated, and each step feels like a stride closer to achieving my goals. I’m especially eager to explore additional positions in the coming days and refine my application strategies. Challenges are inevitable, but I view them as opportunities to learn, adapt, and grow stronger in my journey toward a fulfilling cybersecurity career.
