Today, I’m working from the Linda Vista Library, where I’ve added 12 jobs to my Notion board, each a potential step forward in my cybersecurity career. Reflecting on advice from a friend, I’m considering asking HR to update my job title at Rosa Parks Elementary to Cybersecurity Analyst or Engineer, a role that better aligns with my Master of Science degree. As I focus on securing school devices, an updated title would more accurately reflect my responsibilities. Additionally, I’m targeting key certifications like Security+ and PenTest+ to bolster my qualifications. Later this month, I’ll join a Security+ prep course at San Diego Continuing Education to ensure I’m ready for the exam.
Tomorrow, I’ll visit the 1st Lutheran Church at 10 AM for a quiet moment of reflection. It’s an opportunity to pause and appreciate how far I’ve come while focusing on the road ahead. This reflective space will help me process my progress, reaffirm my goals, and recharge for the journey ahead.
