Commitment plays a crucial role when deciding what job to pursue. Like with any decision, it’s essential to take action and stay focused on completing the process without being distracted by other tasks or ideas. For me, this means taking deliberate steps to ensure I’m moving forward in my job search.
Looking ahead to next week (January 13, 2024, to January 27, 2024), I’ve set a clear plan in motion. I will decide on the specific job and company I want to work for and dedicate myself fully to attaining a position with that organization. My commitment is grounded in three essential criteria:
- The job must be located in San Diego, CA.
- It should offer the option for CALPERS retirement benefits.
- It must provide a living wage to support my needs.
While my ideal role would be in IT or cybersecurity, I’m open to exploring other opportunities within organizations that could potentially offer IT-related positions in the future.
To stay organized and on track, I’ll be leveraging Notion and Obsidian notes to manage my tasks, progress, and insights. These tools will help me maintain clarity and focus as I navigate this important phase of my career journey.
